The evaporative cooling system utilizes the combination of a fan and a wet curtain to artificially amplify the physical process of natural water evaporation and cooling. If the matching ratio is not reasonable, there may be situations where the wind speed is too high or too low, leading to a large temperature difference between the front and back, and the occurrence of cold and hot stress in the chicken flock. With a scientific and reasonable combination of the fan and water curtain, the fan can quickly remove the hot gas, exhaust gas, and odor generated by the chicken flock in the house, avoiding the stimulation of exhaust gas and odor on the chicken flock. The air inside the entire building can be updated as quickly as once in a minute.
Precautions for using water curtains
When using the evaporative cooling pad for the first time, disinfectant can be added to the water tank. After wetting the cooling pad, it can be cleaned and disinfected. In addition, it is necessary to use transitional ventilation, so that the chickens will not catch a cold due to the rapid temperature drop in the chicken coop, which is commonly known as cold stress· When using a wet curtain, it is important to slowly increase the wetting area. During the process of wetting one fourth, half, three quarters, and all, it is necessary to slowly and step by step to prevent rapid cooling and the chickens from getting cold.
During the use of the cooling pad, it is necessary to pay attention to regular maintenance to prevent the growth of algae or blockage of pores by debris such as dust.
Don’t blow the cold air directly through the curtains on the chicken flock. Generally speaking, a guide plate is installed behind the cooling pad to allow the cold air behind the curtain to blow upwards as much as possible and not directly onto the chicken body.
In hot and humid weather, try not to continuously use cooling pads. Continuous use of cooling pads can lead to excessive humidity inside the chicken coop, causing it to become stuffy and leading to hypoxia and death of chickens. Under high temperature and humidity conditions, increasing the wind speed of the fan can reduce the sensory temperature of the chicken flock.
It is recommended to turn on the evaporative cooling pad at a temperature above 28 ℃. When the external temperature drops, gradually adjust the angle of the deflector or close the cooling pad while opening the side window until the temperature is suitable. Both cooling and heating should follow the principle of gradual progress.
